Gizmo Domestic Mediumhair Kitten Male in Dawson, Georgia

My story
Gizmo is not only a gorgeous little floof, he is a survivor! Gizzy was rescued from being mauled by a dog. One of his back legs was bitten badly resulting in his femur being shattered. He was confined at the vets office while his leg healed, hoping he would not require surgery. When he was 5-6 weeks old, it was almost completely healed and he was able to come home with me to foster. I had instructions to not let him have too much activity, no jumping or rough housing for at least another week while his leg continued to heal. Spunky little Gizmo had no intention of cooperating with those instructions. He was so incredibly excited to have room to move around that he wouldn’t even let me love on him. Nope. Non-stop movement ensued from the moment I opened the carrier in my bathroom until he as too exhausted to stand up. He just ran back and forth across the bathroom floor, slowing down every now and then to swat a toy, grab a toy to beat up or drink a little water. He was the happiest, cutest, blur-of-fur I have ever seen.Gizmo is very independent. He loves for me to pet him and he will nap beside me randomly but he is definitely not as needy as most kittens are. Giz is very self-confident! He still plays and runs like there is no tomorrow - I get tired by watching him! Gizmo has the biggest paws I have ever seen on a kitten - thinking he is going to be a big, big boy when he grows up. Not sure how Gizmo will be around dogs since there is no telling if he remembers the horrible experience he had with one at that early age. With his personality, I feel sure that with correct, brief and patient introductions, it would eventually lead to a great friendship! Gizzy has not been around children but I have no doubt he’d be great around them. You can submit an adoption application for Gizmo at /cats.
